IV International Automotive Festival “Tushino-2000”
held in Moscow on June 7-9, 2000

Militaria... On sentry duty at FAI-1 armored car

GAZ-M1. The most popular Soviet pre-war car

GAZ-46. A post-war attempt to copy FORD GPA GAZ-46 interior GAZ-46, view from the stern
GAZ-M1 (mid) was the base for the FAI-1 armored car (right) GAZ-M1 and FAI-1 The lonely FORD GPW at the show GAZ-67B. "Ivan-willys" GAZ-67B in blue. Spectators are in blue too to see such a color… GAZ-67B. Note later added orange lights on front fenders
FAI-1 from the right side Motor-trolley Red Army private (uniform before 1943) with Mosin carbine A handsome Red Army Lieutenant (uniform before 1943). He was very serious, until camera-man showed him tongue to cause his smile ZIS-5. Red Army working horse in pre-Studebaker era Fire-engine of late 50-s -- early 60-s (USSR)
GAZ-69. Soviet post-war military jeep. Note "JEEP" trademark at the background :o) GAZ-69 from the left Opel Olimpia (pre-war Germany) Moskvich-401 (post-war USSR). To be true, do you see any difference? Moskvich-407 (left) of early 50-s They call this "crocodile" Russo-Balt. NO! It is Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. Isn't it?!
GAZ-M20 "Pobeda" (Victory). Designed in 1946. GAZ-13 "Tchaika" (Sea-gull). Soviet version of Cadillac GAZ-13 from rear ZAZ-969 "Zaporozhets" (Ukrainian Cossak). Soviet version of FIAT A unique meeting: this ZAZ-969 "Zaporozhets" and GAZ-21 "Volga" starred in famous Soviet movie "3+2" shot… nearly 40 years ago! Потрясающая встреча! Это тот самый "Запорожец" и та самая "Волга", что снимались в фильме "3+2" почти… 40 лет назад! GAZ-21 "Volga" (Ford!..)
Just a black car in Willys Americar style... VW Beatl never gets old "Zaporozhets"-limousine. The sole car of this type in the world. (The joke is -- it is a mix of non-mixable: "Zaporozhets" is the car for poor people, limousine is the car for extremely reach.) Где этот чертов инвалид?! Another Soviet comedy film star of 60-s. A funny sign to this children's bicycle of somewhere between 1900 and 2000 reads: "Children's bicycle. Was owned by boy Vova Putin. Has spent forty two years at the Leningrad GAI (State Automotive Inspection [Road police]) material evidence opened ground. The infringer, who has outrun a government motorcade (that led to a light cranial-brain contusion of the Leningrad City Counsel (Major), repent of his actions and was punished with a trousers-belt by father. Was ransomed from the GAI ground." :o) See previous image for translation. :о)
BEST OF THE SHOW. Buick 1929 (right) Best of the show Buick 1929 (front) Best of the show Buick 1929 (rear) Better dead than… blue metallic!! +_)(*&^%$#@!~ Hoerch of 30-s and London cab car in Moscow. Did they both ever dream to meet here? Just a nice care, our camera-man liked so much, that he has forgotten to sign down her name :o)
